Where it all began.
In 2017, we opened our studio in an 850 sq ft commercial garage unit converted into a dance classroom with the help our community. Sprung floors, mirrors, and a beautiful mural were all donated and created by some very generous people, rent paid anonymously for 10 months, and teachers volunteered their time as we got established. From the start, RUSD has only been possible because of people with big hearts who believe in the mission! We have loved our time in this unorthodox but truly magical little studio. Inside of it, we taught over 8,000 ballet classes to over 400 students! However, after 5 years we found that we needed more space and bathrooms on-site!
Where we are now.
In January 2023, we moved into a 3000 sq. foot studio housed in the Missio Dei church building, across the parking lot from our commercial garage studio. Fun fact: we started in 2015 as an outreach program in those very Sunday school classrooms! After some serious demolition and renovation by amazing volunteers, we transformed the space into our dream dance studio! Our families enjoy a spacious lobby and three bright classrooms and in house restrooms. We have professional grade sprung flooring and Marley in all classrooms thanks to generous grants and volunteers. We are so grateful to be here and to have room to grow for years to come!
